SPRING PRAYER LETTER – April, 2010

Dear Faithful Ministry Supporters,

Many years ago while pastoring on Grand Manan Island in the Bay of Fundy, a young man in my congregation called me and asked “what is your favorite verse in the Bible.”  I replied “all of them!” He then pressed me further, “do you have a life’s verse…one that is special”. I thought for a moment and then said: “Psalm 34: 1 – I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” About a week or so later the young man brought it to me… he had beautifully done especially for me Psalm 34: 1 in calligraphy! That is still my life verse.

Joyce and I praise the Lord for the opportunities of serving Him through the first quarter of 2010. Although we had almost four feet of snow in February and each had a “bout” with a cold virus. We stayed busy most of the time. I still fill the pulpit almost every Sunday at Fairview Bible Church (about 100 miles north of home) and Joyce plays the organ at Grace Bible Chapel (less than 15 miles away). I had the opportunity of doing a Sweetheart Banquet and ministry in a church in Berwick, PA (Joyce was able to go with me) in February. In a couple of weeks from now we are to head north. I am to speak at Spruce Head, Maine and then on May 2 at a church in rural northern New Brunswick, Canada. We hope to get to see our oldest granddaughter walk in graduation that same day at New Brunswick Bible Institute. For the rest of the month of May I am scheduled to be at Fairview Bible Church in Lewistown, PA. [I ask you to pray that the Lord will in His timing send the pastor of His choosing to this church.] The Way of Truth Ministries quarterly Board meeting is April 10. So with all the traveling and ministry life stays busy.

What is new? (1) Thanks to Pastor Matt Jury of Grace Bible Chapel our ministry now has a website… lambertsonministry.com There is a ministry e-mail address. It is:  btm@lambertsonministry.com And we have a ministry email account.  From this email account, we can send our prayer letters.  If you would like to receive the prayer letter through a different email address that you may have, please visit the website and follow the instructions to go to a special form to update your contact information.

(2) A different ministry vehicle. For those of you who do not know, our ‘99 Sienna had 162,000 miles on it and I was told that it needed appx. $4000 in repairs plus it was burning some oil. Through some wise counsel and in a unique way we were able to purchase a 2003 Vibe (with only 47,000 miles) to take the Sienna’s place but since there were no funds in our ministry vehicle fund we had to borrow from another fund. We are extremely grateful for our home church, Emmanuel Baptist, Mechanicsburg, PA and some individuals who have helped with this need. Along with their help and what we were able to sell the ’99 Sienna for we have recovered most of the funds. But we still need appx. $1600.00. We ask you to pray that the Lord will supply this need. If you are led of the Lord to help we ask that you note the following: If you wish to send a check directly to us, please make it payable to Milton D. Lambertson… (Note that you cannot receive an income tax receipt). However, if you wish an income tax receipt, send a check to Way Of Truth Ministries, 315 40th Street, Altoona, PA 16602 – make the check payable to Way of Truth Ministries but do not write on the check what it is for. Instead, include a note stating that the money is “for the ministry of Milt Lambertson, vehicle fund”. Be sure to include your name, address and request a receipt. [Do not at any time make checks payable to Biblical Truth Ministries.]

We are very grateful for those who support us financially. But we emphasize the great need of prayer!!! We are very grateful for those who hold us up before the Lord. May the Lord bless each of you abundantly.  Please do pray that the summer and fall months will have open doors of ministry. We love and appreciate you.

Your servants in the service of the Savior,

(Pastor)Milt and Joyce Lambertson
